Deposit and Payment Policy
All Sessions require a consultation call and a $100 non-refundable deposit. Deposits secure the time and services of the Photographer for the session and are non-refundable or transferable in the event of cancellation, it being the agreed loss suffered by the photographer due to cancellation. Sessions that are postponed to a later date will retain the fee as long as the photographer can reschedule for the new date and time.
Following payment of the retainer, the balance of any fees due is to be paid on, or before the date of the session. No photographs will be delivered until all payments due have been paid in full. Payment for additional images, retouches, and print or products is to be made when they are ordered.
Booking Expectations
We require full payment 48 hours before the booked session date and time. Cards on file will be automatically charged 48 hours before the session. Online galleries, blog posts, and social media sneak peeks will not be posted until all payments are made. No order will be designed or submitted until paid in full. No Exceptions!
We ask that you arrive 10-15 min early for your scheduled session. Please plan enough time to get to your session. Whether that be getting the kids ready or navigating through rush hour traffic. If you are running late please call us.
If you have a 60-minute session scheduled and you are 20 minutes late, you will then have a 40-minute session. If you are more than 30-minutes late without calling, you will forfeit all session fees and we will have the right to cancel the session.
A $50 late fee will be applied.
Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
In the event of rescheduling or cancellation please note the following:
Rescheduling
All consultation calls can be rescheduled within 48hrs of the date originally booked. You will be able to reschedule your appointment via email confirmation or appointment reminders. After 48 hours rescheduling will not be allowed for consultation calls. Deposits are non-refundable.
All booking sessions can be rescheduled within 48hrs of the agreed-upon date, time, and location. After 48 hours rescheduling will not be allowed for booked sessions, however, In the event of an emergency exceptions can be made.
All rescheduled sessions will require a $50 rescheduling fee if notified less than 48hrs in advance.
We will automatically charge your card on file and a new confirmation email will be sent with your new scheduled session date and time.
All reschedules must be rescheduled within 90 days to retain session fees.
Cancellations
All booking sessions can be canceled within 48 hours of the agreed-upon date, time, and location. After 48 hours cancellations will not be allowed for booked sessions, however, In the event of an emergency exceptions can be made.
All booking sessions canceled with less than 48 hours notice will forfeit the entire session and payments. If an exception is made there will be a rebooking fee of $150 to reschedule. (We will automatically charge your card on file the rebooking fee).
All no call, no shows will forfeit all payments and will be required to start the entire booking process over.
If a client cancels more than 2 times all payments will be forfeited and they will be required to start the entire booking process over.
Digitals
All sessions include a watermarked digital proofing gallery. These images are the RAW images and have not been retouched. They will remain in the proofing gallery for a year from the session date and later be deleted.
Clients select their favorites from the proofing gallery for retouching almost the same they would for prints. The favorites are added to the Final image gallery and can be downloaded by the client.
Additional retouching is $25 per image.
The Female Shoota cannot guarantee the results or quality of prints made by clients or by clients' chosen labs. For consistent, quality results made to last a lifetime, please purchase your prints directly from The Female Shoota and/ or the gallery that is sent.
Please back up all digital copies of your photographs. We recommend an external hard drive or flash drive.
The Female Shoota will make every effort to retain your files for up to 1 year from the date of your session. There will be a $50 gallery upload fee in the event the client’s gallery expires and they need a gallery re-uploaded.
Portrait sessions
A proofing gallery will be sent out 1-3 days after your session unless the client stayed after the session to select the images for the proofing gallery. The Female Shoota strives to have your final images/ gallery ready to view within 2-3 weeks after your session. However, due to the level of attention we provide to your images, your wait may be longer but that will be communicated. We appreciate your patience!
Same-day or next-day turnaround time is NOT AVAILABLE. So please be sure to book your session day with enough time in between to receive the final digitals and or prints.
My goal is for your 100% satisfaction with your session and images. In the event the photographer has any technical issues (equipment malfunction, computer malfunction, etc.) there will be no charge for a re-shoot. However, I cannot offer free re-shoots for any of the following reasons: dissatisfaction with clothing, facial expressions, hair, wind or other reasons out of my control.
Client Usage
The Client is obtaining prints for personal use only, and shall not sell said prints or authorize any reproductions thereof by parties other than the Photographer. Without permission from the Photographer, the Client shall not download, copy, print, screen shot, use as a basis for derivative works, manipulate in any way, or otherwise use the Photographer’s images.
If Client is obtaining a print for reproduction or publication, Photographer authorizes Client to reproduce the print only as agreed upon by Client and Photographer. In such an event, Client shall request that a credit for the Photographer be placed adjacent to the photograph on publication, but shall have no liability if the publication refuses or omits to do so.
Retouching
All images will be adjusted for skin blemishes, exposure, brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. The Photographer's judgment regarding these corrections and the number of images put forward to the Client for preview shall be deemed correct. Retouching, digital manipulation and artist finishing is available to the Client as an option at an extra cost of $25 per image.
Copyright
Copyright is a property right. Under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976, photographs are protected by copyright from the moment of creation. According to the U.S. Copyright Office, the owner of the “work” is generally the photographer or, in certain situations, the employer of the photographer. Under copyright law, the photographer owns the copyright and can use it for any editorial use without permission of the person in the picture. This includes using the images for marketing and branding.
Privacy Policy
The Female Shoota is committed to your privacy. Information collected from clients over the phone, in person, or through the website is kept confidential. Information will not be shared or sold to third parties.
